الوضع السياسي في العراق اليوم يعاني من تناقضات عميقة ومزمنة، تكرّست بفعل هيمنة جهة سياسية واحدة على مفاصل الدولة منذ سنوات. هذه الهيمنة لم تفرز استقرارا سياسيا أو تقدما مؤسساتيا. واحدة من أبرز مظاهر هذا الخلل هي ظاهرة الفساد المستشري، حيث نلاحظ ان العديد من المتورطين في قضايا فساد قد تم اعفاؤهم لاحقًا، أو جرت تسويات سياسية حالت دون محاسبتهم الجادة.

الأخطر من ذلك ان مبدأ المحاصصة السياسية لم يعد مجرد آلية لتقاسم المناصب السيادية أو الوزارية، بل أصبح جزءًا من بنية العمل السياسي اليومي، يمتد إلى مؤسسات الدولة، ما أدى إلى ترسيخ الولاءات الطائفية والحزبية على حساب الكفاءة والمصلحة العامة.

لذا يمكن القول إن المشهد السياسي العراقي اليوم بحاجة إلى إصلاح جذري يعيد الاعتبار لمبدأ المواطنة، ويضع حدا للمحاصصة والفساد، ويؤسس لمرحلة جديدة من الحكم المبني على القانون والكفاءة والمسائلة.
