قال وزير الدفاع الإسرائيلي، يسرائيل كاتس، الثلاثاء، إن طائرات حربية أمريكية أقلعت من قواعد إسرائيلية خلال هجماتها على إيران.
وتوقفت الضربات الأمريكية على إيران منذ الجمعة بعد 13 يوما من تجدد القتال، وذلك بعد انهيار اتفاق وقف إطلاق النار الذي تم التوصل إليه في أبريل/نيسان.
ولم تشارك إسرائيل في الجولة الأخيرة من التصعيد ضمن الحرب التي بدأت في أواخر فبرير/شباط، مع موجة من الضربات الأمريكية الإسرائيلية على إيران.
وخلال مؤتمر للأمن بثته القناة الـ14 الإسرائيلية، قال كاتس: “الواقع أنه في الوقت الراهن، وقد يتغير هذا خلال ساعة، فإن الإيرانيين يطلقون النار على كل شيء في المنطقة باستثناء إسرائيل“.
وأضاف “إنهم يعلمون أن طائرات أمريكية تقلع من هنا لتنفيذ الضربات“.
وتابع كاتس “هذا لا يعني أننا نعرف ما سيحدث غدا، بل يعني أننا نعرف ما هو ردنا. لقد أعلنت ذلك، ورئيس الوزراء أعلن ذلك، وقد أوضحنا الأمر بشكل قاطع، إذا تعرضت إسرائيل لإطلاق نار، فسوف نرد بكل قوة“.
وكان الرئيس الأمريكي، دونالد ترامب، أعرب الإثنين عن تفاؤله بشأن فرص التوصل إلى نتيجة ايجابية في المباحثات مع ايران، علما بأن طهران نفت إجراء أي مفاوضات مع الولايات المتحدة.
وعُلّقت المواجهات بين واشنطن وطهران اعتبارا من فجر السبت، بعد 13 يوما من الأعمال القتالية المتواصلة، والتي جاءت نتيجة انهيار الجهود الدبلوماسية في ظل استمرار التباين بشأن حركة الملاحة عبر مضيق هرمز.
واندلعت الحرب بضربات أمريكية إسرائيلية على إيران في 28 فبراير/شباط إلا أن إسرائيل لم تكن طرفا في مذكرة التفاهم ولم تشارك في المفاوضات، وإن أوقفت ضرباتها على إيران منذ أبريل/نيسان.
ومن المقرر أن يلتقي رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو ترامب الثلاثاء في البيت الأبيض، حيث يُتوقع أن يحثه على مواصلة تبني موقف متشدد تجاه طهران، ولا سيما في ما يتعلق ببرنامجها النووي.
وفي تصريح لشبكة “فوكس نيوز”، قال نتنياهو إنه يدعم جهود ترامب الرامية إلى وقف البرنامج النووي.
وأضاف “إذا كان بإمكانه فعل ذلك بدون العودة إلى قتال عسكري كثيف، فلا بأس. ولم لا؟ ولكن، بطريقة أو بأخرى، يتعين عليهم إنهاء برنامجهم النووي، وسواء تم التوصل إلى اتفاق أم لا، فلا بد أن ينتهي هذا الأمر“.
وتتهم الولايات المتحدة وإسرائيل ودول غربية بالسعي الى تطوير سلاح نووي. لكن إيران لطالما أكدت أن برنامجها النووي مخصص لأغراض مدنية.
