يرحب التجمع المدني الوطني العراقي بخطوة حزب العمال الكردستاني المتمثلة في القاء السلاح وهي خطوة ايجابية ومهمة في الاتجاه الصحيح نحو انهاء دوامة العنف وفتح صفحة جديدة من الحوار البناء دفاعا عن حقوق الأكراد.
ان هذه المبادرة تعد فرصة حقيقية لوضع حد للمعاناة وتحقيق تطلعات الشعوب في الامن والاستقرار بعيدا عن لغة السلاح والنزاعات.
كما يدعو التجمع إلى ان تكون هذه الخطوة منطلقاً لارساء دعائم السلم الأهلي والاستقرار في المنطقة مؤكدًا على اهمية تفعيل الوسائل السلمية في معالجة القضايا الخلافية بما يحفظ وحدة الشعوب وحقوقهم المشروعة ضمن اطار سيادة الدول والالتزام بالقوانين والمواثيق الدولية.
اننا في التجمع المدني الوطني العراقي نؤمن بان الحوار هو الاساس الحقيقي لبناء مستقبل امن ومستقر لجميع شعوب المنطقة.
